Environmental Management Responsibilities (WMV 6.1 MB) (QT 36.7 MB)
M3 Eagle’s environmental management responsibilities encompass a host of issues that include safeguards to protect the land from potential damage by motorized vehicles and misuse by others. As you’ll see in the video clip, unlimited access to the property by ATVs and other off-road vehicles has resulted in considerable erosion and destruction, along with discarded trash and ammunition shells. We are constructing an attractive fence around the property to restrict motorized vehicle access to the site while allowing access for equestrians, cyclists and hikers on established trails, and to minimize litter and destruction to the property.
Part of our master planning process—with assistance from our neighbors and local organizations such as the Southwest Idaho Trail & Distance Riders—will be to create a permanent trail system through open space areas that supports small-footprint recreation and benefits foothills preservation. The trails network found on the property today is only temporary and subject to modification to fit with the overall master plan and the planned City of Eagle Regional Park.
All of us must be responsible stewards of the land. We appreciate your understanding and support as we undertake our management responsibilities at M3 Eagle.
